How to Select the Ink Model for Small Character Inkjet Printers?

Our small character inkjet printers support mainstream inks available on the market, with pre-stored matching viscosity curves for all common ink types built into the device.

1.If you are uncertain which ink model corresponds to your consumable, do not add solvent when refilling ink for the first time. Tap the 【Start Jet】 button to activate the ink line and keep it running for several minutes. The machine will automatically detect the ink and display the measured viscosity value in the 「Ink, water, viscosity」 field on the main interface.

2.Go to the ink type setting page, set the viscosity control mode to automatic first, then select an ink type. Click the 【Parameter】 button at the top left of the screen to compare the Actual Viscosity with the Set Viscosity

•If the two values are close, the ink model is matched successfully and the setup is finished;

•If there is a big difference between the values, choose another ink model and test again until the viscosity values match.

Can I restore factory settings?

Yes, but this will clear all parameters. Do not operate it unless necessary.

What barcodes and QR codes are supported?

Barcodes: CODE11, EAN13, CODE128, EAN14

QR Codes: QR Code, DataMatrix

What are the operation safety prohibitions?

  • Do not plug or unplug cables, or open the cabinet while the power is on.
  • Do not cut off the power during printing.
  • Do not peer into the printhead nozzle.
  • Always power off the device and wear goggles and gloves before maintenance.

What are the precautions for using ink and solvent?

  • Store in a cool and well-ventilated place, keep away from fire sources, and ensure the temperature is below 35°C.
  • In case of splashing onto skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water.
  • Dispose of waste in accordance with local regulations; do not pour into sewers.

What does daily maintenance include?

Each startup and shutdown: Clean the charging electrode, high voltage deflection plate and phase probe.

Every 2000 hours: Replace the filter and dust-proof cotton.

How to handle the prompt Maintenance Period Expired?

Clean the ink system, replace the filter and dust-proof cotton, then reset the maintenance time.

How to fix blurry printing and missing characters?

  1. Check if the break point adjustment is normal.
  2. Confirm that ink viscosity and pressure are within the standard range.
  3. Clean the printhead and nozzle.
  4. Verify that the printing distance is appropriate.

How to deal with the Solvent / Ink Low Level reminder?

Open the lower compartment and add the original dedicated ink or solvent accordingly.

How to resolve the High Voltage Leakage alarm?

Cause: The printhead is damp or contaminated.

Solution: Thoroughly clean the printhead, dry it completely, then restart the device.

How to handle the Recycling Port Fault prompt?

Cause: Nozzle clogging, ink channel deflection, or ink failing to enter the collector.

Solution: Run the Nozzle Unlock or Reverse Cleaning function, clean the printhead and dry it thoroughly, then check whether the ink line is normal.

How to switch the operation language?

Supports Simplified Chinese, English, Vietnamese and Persian. Switch languages via System Settings → Language Settings. We can also add more languages according to your actual needs.

What is the function and operation method of break point adjustment?

Function: Adjust the breaking position of ink droplets to ensure clear printed characters without trailing marks.

Operation path: Basic Settings → Break Point Adjustment, modify the value (range: 0–99). Use a magnifying glass to observe the ink droplets at the charging electrode until the break point is normal.

Which parameters are not recommended to be modified arbitrarily?

The following parameters are factory default settings. Unauthorized modification may cause equipment failure or abnormal printing:

  • High voltage adjustment (ultra-high voltage range, high voltage leakage value, charging value);
  • Phase parameters (phase charging value, fixed phase, phase compensation compensation);
  • Viscosity detection threshold and basic droplet break value.

What are the correct shutdown steps?

  1. Tap “Stop Ink Line” on the main interface, select normal or fast ink stop mode (wait 2–3 minutes for the procedure to complete).
  2. Press the power switch and wait for the display to turn off (the device is completely powered off).
  3. Check for ink leakage at the bottom of the printer and around the printhead; handle any leakage promptly.

What are the available printing trigger modes?

External photoelectric trigger: Automatically triggers printing when the substrate is detected by the photoelectric sensor.

Manual trigger: Configure the manual trigger function in “Message Settings” and start printing by pressing the button.

How to edit and print messages?

Tap Edit on the main interface to enter the message editing page.

Insert content: Tap Text / Barcode / QR Code / Time / Counter, enter the corresponding content and adjust parameters (font, dot matrix, spacing, etc.).

Save the file: Enter a file name, tap Save in the bottom right corner, and return to the main interface.

Start printing: Tap Print Switch (button turns green), select the trigger mode (external photoelectric trigger / manual trigger), and start printing.

What is the commissioning procedure for the first startup?

Turn on the power switch, wait for the device to finish loading and enter the main interface.

Open the lower compartment door, and pour the original ink and solvent into their corresponding tanks separately (avoid overflow).

Main Interface → Machine Settings → Ink System Operations → Clean Printhead Throat Pipe (wait 1 minute and then close).

Check for ink leakage in the ink system and printhead, and ink accumulation in the return pipe (clean and dry if any).

Tap “Start Ink Line” on the main interface, select normal or fast ink supply mode (wait 2–3 minutes to complete).

Confirm there are no fault warnings on the main screen and “Printhead Ready” is displayed; you can now edit print content.

What is the optimal installation distance for the printhead?

The distance between the printhead and the substrate is 5 mm – 40 mm, and the optimal printing distance is 10–20 mm (to ensure clear and stable printing).

What are the requirements for the power supply?

Mandatory requirement: Must be reliably grounded; otherwise, the equipment may operate abnormally.

What conditions must be met for the installation environment?

Ambient temperature: 5°C – 45°C

Ambient humidity: 30% – 95% RH (relative humidity), no condensation

Space requirement: Leave at least 1 meter of space around the machine for good ventilation

Safety distance: Keep away from open flames and large electrical interference equipment (e.g., welding machines, large motors);place a fire extinguisher within 3 meters

What is the range of printable materials?

Cartons, plastic products, metal products, plates, pipes, stone materials, glass products, electronic components, auto parts, industrial chemical packaging, pharmaceutical, food and gift boxes, etc.

What are the core printing performance parameters of the Continuous Inkjet (CIJ) printer?

Nozzle specification: 60U standard configuration

Printing speed: Up to 280 meters per minute (5×5 single-line mode)

Printing height: 2 mm – 40 mm (selectable according to font dot matrix)

What is the core configuration of the printer?

It is equipped with a 10.1-inch TFT color touch screen (1280×800 resolution), a stainless-steel body, an embedded Linux secure operating system, an intelligent real-time ink viscosity detection and automatic adjustment system, and a high-performance gear pressure pump. The maintenance cycle is extended to 2000 hours or 12 months.

How to select among Fiber, CO₂ and UV laser marking machines?

Material, precision requirement and budget are three core factors for model selection. Choose accordingly:

1.Fiber Laser (1064nm infrared, ideal for metals & hard engineering plastics)

✅Applicable materials: Stainless steel, iron, aluminum, copper, all alloys; hard plastics like ABS, PC, nylon, electroplated parts, hardware, auto spare parts, gold & silver ornaments.
✅Advantages: Nearly maintenance-free, fast marking speed, capable of black marking/annealing discoloration on metals, cost-effective.
❌Not suitable: Paper, leather, transparent PET & soft plastics (prone to scorching and blurry marking).
👉Application: Mass marking for hardware, auto parts, molds, metal components, 3C metal casings.

2.CO₂ Laser (10.6μm far infrared, ideal for most non-metals)

✅Applicable materials: Paper carton, leather, wood, acrylic, rubber, PET bottle, fabric, ceramic, ordinary glass, production date marking on food & medicine packages.
✅Advantages: Low procurement cost, high-speed large-area marking, clear color marking on nonmetals, top choice for packaging lines.
❌Not suitable: Most metals (laser reflected), ultra-thin thermal-sensitive plastic (easy to burn).
👉Application: Food & daily chemical packaging, wood engraving, leather logo, barcode marking on paper boxes.

3.UV Laser (355nm cold laser, ideal for precision & heat-sensitive materials)

✅Applicable materials: Transparent/thin-wall plastic, PCB, medical consumables (syringes, rubber stoppers), display glass, soft rubber, chips, thermal-sensitive plastic, tiny components; cold processing without thermal burning to avoid bubbling, deformation or yellowing.
✅Advantages: Highest precision (ultra-fine 0.001mm characters), zero thermal damage, specialized for tiny QR codes & micro characters.
👉Application: UDI marking for medical devices, precision electronic components, high-end transparent plastic, small-size high-precision marking.



Daily equipment maintenance tips for new operators?

1.Regularly wipe dust off the field lens surface;

2. Keep machine away from humid and dusty environment;

3. Cut off power supply if idle for long periods.

How to set auto-increment for serial production numbers?

Add [Serial Number], set start number, end number and step value, enable auto-counting. Check the cycle option if cyclic marking is required.

Why is the QR code unclear on dark-colored products?

Tick the invert option and increase the border width on four sides; no inversion needed for light-colored materials.

The photoelectric sensor detects products but no automatic marking occurs?

1.Turn on the sensor switch;

2. Switch between high/low level to match the sensor;

3. Set proper filter time.

Marked characters get stretched or compressed on the production line?

Encoder-equipped machine: Verify roller diameter and pulse count, recalculate flying coefficient. Non-encoder machine: Adjust simulated production line speed.

Occasional missing marks during high-speed production?

Disable real-time online update and adopt the update mode after two cached batches.

Marking skews due to tilted workpieces?

Fine-tune the [Production Line Angle] parameter in software for correction.

No laser output and no marking trace at all?

1.Confirm correct laser type (Fiber / CO2 / UV);

2. Set power and frequency within reasonable range;

3. Restore default marking parameters and retry.

Incomplete strokes or missing endings of characters?

Increase the laser-off delay parameter.
